My story with George

My story with George

On November 10, 2019, I came across an adoption plea: "Family allergic to cat hair, urgently seeking adoption." Suddenly, a thought struck me: I want to give this cat a home...

The kitten was suffering from cat flu, ear mites, nasal inflammation, and malnutrition... The first question that crossed my mind was whether I could afford the vet bills. Did I really want to take on this responsibility? After gazing at him for a long while, I couldn't resist anymore. I told the vet: Treat him!

I began scouring the internet for guides and videos. What should novice cat owners know? What's the best diet to help cats gain weight? Which plants are harmful to cats? And so on...

As a new cat owner, I felt a mix of excitement and apprehension. But one thing was certain—we were now a family. Little George, we're in this together!

George quickly embraced me as his new family member. He willingly took his medication every day, even though I knew he longed for warmth during those moments. Time worked its magic, and George started to heal.

With our combined efforts, George made a swift recovery. The vet confirmed his progress and scheduled his vaccinations. Amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, on a chilly day, I cradled George in my arms as we headed to the pet hospital after his final shot. It was a journey we embarked on together.

It's now been five years since George came into my life, and he's been healthy throughout. Here's to many more years of companionship and love with my dear George.
